A positive attitude and a passion for helping children learn are a must About the role We have a fantastic opportunity available for a dedicated teaching assistant to join a well established primary school. The role will primarily be based in our Y1&2 Class supporting the pupils and class teacher. There would also be regular opportunities to be paid as an HLTA. This is a fixed term role in the first instance for 30.40 hrs per week from 08:45 – 15:15 Monday to Friday. This includes lunchtime duty. Your role may included, but will not be limited to: Lesson planning: Assist teachers in planning activities and lessons Student support: Provide one-on-one support to students, and help with tasks Behaviour management: Help teachers manage challenging behaviour and promote a positive learning environment Social and emotional development: Support students' social and emotional development, and report any issues Classroom management: Supervise group activities, and clear away equipment after lessons What the client is looking for The head teacher is looking for a committed and enthusiastic teaching assistant that has HLTA qualifications.
