Here at Airdrie Vets4Pets, we are looking for a full time or part time Veterinary Surgeon with at least 1 year experience to join our team.
About Our Practice
The practice opened in 2012 so we have a large loyal client base and see a wide variety of interesting cases. The previous owner decided to step down in 2022 and the practice was bought by Jenny, Andrea, & Jane in 2024. Between the 3 of us, we have over 50 years of experience working in the veterinary industry. We have worked in different types of practice and this has giving us insight into what it takes to have a healthy, enjoyable and productive work environment. We strive to make Airdrie Vets4Pets a place where employees feel supported, valued, can be themselves, have a good work life balance and genuinely enjoy coming to work.
Our team is made up of 5 Vets, 4 Nurses, 1 SVN, 5 Client Care Advisors and a Practice Manager. We are a close knit team who enjoy meeting outside of work too. We have started a book club who meets monthly and host games nights in the practice a couple times of year. We value working together and have built in breaks where vets can discuss cases and support each other. We have monthly practice meetings and clinical meetings.
To help support a good work life balance, we have 15 minute routine consults and 30 minute consults for new clients, first vacs, PTS and more complex cases. Catch-up time after appointment blocks, well-being break and protected admin time has been worked into the diary. This gives you the chance to work up cases effectively and take care of yourself. We finish consults 30 minutes before close to try and ensure staff leaves on time. We offer paid overtime or time in lue for the times we do get out late.
The Role
The position can be full or part time (25-40 hours), including a 1:4 Saturday morning (9-12) and no OOH. This role can accommodate a consulting only vet or a consulting and surgical vet.
