Urgently Required A family in Altrincham, South Manchester are seeking a loving, creative and organised nanny to join their family from November 2024 onwards, as their current nanny is on maternity leave. The family have two children: a 16 month baby girl and a 3 year old girl who is at pre-prep 5 days a week. They are looking to find a reliable, independent and trustworthy nanny who will be able to provide the utmost care to support their childrens development during these important early years. This is a wonderful opportunity which would suit someone able to lead engaging age-appropriate activities to guide the children through their developmental milestones. The successful nanny will take sole-charge care for a baby who will be 1 year old at the start date and will be responsible for organising activities including play dates, preparing meals, changing, nursery cleaning duties and general care. You will also be responsible for their 3 year old daughter in the school holidays occasionally and before and after school. The two children are being raised bilingual, and the successful Nanny would work with the parents to engage in second language activities e.g. listening to recorded stories and songs. Ability to speak the second language, Mandarin Chinese, is a nice to have. A driver with their own vehicle is desirable for this position, but not essential as there are plenty of baby and toddler activities within walking distance or a short tram ride away. Hours 5 full days, Monday to Friday 8am-6pm, 50 hours per week Salary The hourly rate will be £15 gross per hour Start Date 4 November End Date June 2025 tbc Essential Requirements Fully enhanced DBS (Criminal Record Check) on the update service agency can assist. Paediatric First Aid certificate required. (valid, within date) Previous professional experience caring for children, in a sole-charge capacity.
