A welcoming, bright, and child-oriented primary school based in Swindon is currently recruiting for an Academic Support Specialist to promote and support classroom learning in Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2. This is an exciting opportunity for aspiring teachers to initiate their career in education and to gain an understanding of the National Curriculum.
As an Academic Support Specialist, you will work alongside specialist and driven teachers to stimulate a dynamic and effective learning environment that enables learners to flourish and maximize their potential. The Academic Support Specialist role is a rewarding and important position where no two days are the same. You will engage, support, and develop the learning of children, assist with the delivery of creative and well-planned lessons, and be the spark for a child's light-bulb moment.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate who is considering a career in education or an experienced Academic Support Specialist who is looking for a new challenge. Previous working experience with children is desirable for this position but is not essential. Relevant experience could include mentoring, coaching, tutoring, assisting in a nursery, childcare, or similar experience in a classroom setting. Supporting children with ASD, behavioral issues, and learning difficulties would be extremely beneficial for this role.
