Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a Buildings Design Manager to work for one of our clients based in Plymouth, UK.
You will require 'Right to Work' in the UK; unfortunately, no sponsorship will be available for this role.
You will oversee the management of multidisciplinary design elements of the buildings, ensuring designer technical performance and making appropriate technical responses. You will provide technical design guidance and review the overall design packages, including safety functional requirements as defined in the Safety Case. Additionally, you will review the integration of the designs with other design packages. It is essential to ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule, and budget. You will also plan for effective project implementation, identifying key factors and effectively contributing to the project's technical planning process.
Experience Required
1. Previous experience of high-level technical management of highly complex building projects.
2. Design and construction of major new industrial buildings with multifunctionality - workshops, storage, offices, etc.
3. Experience in high hazard facilities in the nuclear sector or hospitals, such as X-ray facilities, is beneficial.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering is required.
2. Preferred Chartered Architect or Engineer, registered with the appropriate body.
3. Ideally, experience in Nuclear / Defence / Highly regulated sectors.
