An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed individual to join our Partnership Delivery Team as a Project Manager. Using local knowledge, partner relationships, data, and information, the Partnership Delivery Team designs, coordinates and monitors large scale transformation projects, which aim to better meet the needs of Cardiff citizens.
The team manage a range of Welsh Government Grants including the Housing Support Grant, Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) Grant and the Children and Communities Grant.
This post is subject to grant funding and will be reviewed on an annual basis.
About the job
You will lead and manage several projects to deliver sustainable service change and improvement. This will involve the planning, implementation, reporting, and monitoring of identified change projects. Central to the role will be working with managers across different Cardiff Council service areas, alongside a range of partners including Health and the Third Sector.
You will support the successful delivery of existing projects, as well as developing new ones. One key existing project you will focus on aims to develop services for people who are traditionally excluded from healthcare. This forward-thinking, cross-sector project seeks to reduce health inequalities by delivering a specialist model of care that integrates health, housing, and social care.
You will oversee service commissioning and ensure all commissioned services align with the relevant strategic priorities and meet the funding criteria and objectives.
As part of the transformation agenda, you will also assist in the broader range of operational planning, development, and implementation of key work programmes that support the strategic direction of the Council’s corporate plan, wellbeing plan, and community safety plan.

* Project management experience and the ability to deliver change effectively in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience of managing significant budgets and resources.
Skills:
* Ability to analyse data to deliver improvements to processes and ways of working.
* Excellent digital skills and the ability to work with new technology.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple, competing projects.
* Ability to work well within a team and independently.
Communication:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence others.
* Ability to work effectively with colleagues, senior management, and other professional bodies as required.
Knowledge:
* Knowledge of legislation and related policies and protocols of relevant legislation, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

This post is temporary until 31st March 2027.
