My client, a Cardiff based charity, is looking for an experienced IT Manager for a 6 month contract, starting before the end of November. They are looking for someone with a strong technical support background who has stepped up to managing a small team of Helpdesk/1st & 2nd Line Engineers. This role could also suit an experienced Infrastructure Manager.
This is a hybrid role with the expectation of someone being onsite, on average, 2-3 days a week though some weeks it may be less and some weeks it may be more. While the main office is based in Cardiff, there may be some very occasional travel to sites which could be based anywhere between Pembroke to Nottingham.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a small team of Helpdesk/1st & 2nd Line Engineers.
2. Provide technical support and guidance on industry standard technologies.
3. Learn and understand the intricacies of the existing systems.
Required Qualifications:
1. Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft laptop/desktop/server software, Hyper-V, O365, SharePoint, Teams, MDM, Draytek, and VPN.
2. Proven experience in a technical support role and team management.
3. Ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly.
Interviews are likely to happen week commencing 18th November and will take place via Teams, speaking with the IT Director and Finance Director. We are ideally looking at a November start date, so please ensure that you can be available almost immediately.
