Job Description
The aim of the UK Recruitment Assistant is to help drive the recruitment, selection and onboarding of Alpadia UK’s seasonal staff. They will contribute to the overall success of the recruitment strategy and work closely with colleagues in HR and Operations to maximise efficiency and resources.
It is an exciting, demanding and rewarding position. The position holder will directly affect the quality and success of the Alpadia Language Camps through their own performance and decisions.
Recruitment
* Post and update job adverts across various recruitment systems and channels
* Attend recruitment fairs and distribute recruitment flyers different locations (universities, colleges, etc.)
* Assist with the application pipeline
* Screen applications
* Correspond with short-listed applicants
* Schedule interviews
* Promote positions to, and liaise with, former position holders
Selection
* Undertake applicant interviews
* Complete assessments of applicants
* Select successful applicants
* Create offers for successful applicants
Onboarding
* Complete Hiring Confirmations
* Keep staff files up to date
* Update the Single Central Register as required
* Process DBS Applications
* Undertake ID and right to work checks
* Administer Reference Checks
* Chase outstanding information / documents
Training
* Assign compulsory online training to new staff members
* Manage the completion rate of training modules and chase staff members who have not completed
* Learn and understand SCORM packages and training software technicalities to be ready to support staff with issues
* Be the first point of contact for online staff training queries
* In-person support for the main training event for seasonal staff (end of June event)
Miscellaneous
* Provide information and support for successful applicants pre/post arrival
* Complete HR Audits
* Assist with Payroll
* Other administrative task as required
* Support with projects around EU portfolio as required
Qualifications
Essential
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* The Right to Work in the UK
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with potential employees and build positive relationships
* Ability to understand and use key ICT packages relevant to the role
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Effective decision-making skills
* Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to work independently and to deadlines
* Experience, knowledge or ability to articulate (‘sell’) the benefits and overall ‘Employer Value Proposition’ of the organisation to candidates
Desirable
* CIPD Qualifications / any other relevant qualifications
* Knowledge of recruitment law
* Previous recruitment experience, ideally in a high-volume seasonal organisation
* Experience of working in a language camp, school or similar environment
* CELTA/TESOL qualification, or equivilant
Additional Information
Salary £23,000 pro rata per annum
This position is a fixed term contract running from March 2025 to mid-August 2025.
Note that during the operating period (23.06.2025 – 09.08.2025) some additional support for the camp teams may be required.
