The role of Activities Coordinator is a great position to be able to carry out and be involved in the full range of leisure activities. Continually customer facing, the role provides rewarding opportunities. Meeting new people, variation in both activities and learning provides an exciting working day, every day, for our Activities Coordinators.
Activities Coordinators will perform duties pertaining to both wet and dry sites.
Primary Objectives For The Activities Coordinator Will Be:
1. To ensure the safety of and enjoyment of everybody using the Leisure Centre.
2. To partake in the management of all aspects of the daily activities of the Centre.
The Activities Coordinator will focus day to day on the following tasks:
1. Supervise children in the delivery of parties.
2. Supervise participants on X-treme Air indoor inflatable.
3. Ensure the continued safety and security of all children.
4. Constantly examine all equipment, materials and areas that are used and through the unit fault reporting system report any defects or hazards immediately to your line manager.
5. Liaise with parents to ensure correct information is provided on all aspects of their child’s care.
6. Follow the requirements of the Child Protection Policy.
7. Attend training and development as required.
8. Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role as required by the facility management.
9. Guide, care for and assist all Leisure Centre customers.
10. Facilitate a friendly but efficient working relationship with the people who use the Leisure Centre.
11. Work as part of a team to achieve the objectives and usage targets of the Leisure Centre.
12. Innovate ideas and initiate action to increase the usage of the Leisure Centre.
13. Ensure all facilities are presented to the highest levels of cleanliness and comfort.
14. Assist the Duty Manager in the effective control and security of the facility, patrolling all appropriate areas ensuring that equipment is stored safely and securely.
15. Be aware of all Health and Safety issues within the Centre, to constantly implement and assess procedures drawing attention to any unsafe practices.
16. Ensure all parts of the Centre are safe and secure when not in use.
17. Cover duties of such other members of staff as required.
18. Undertake any other duties as may be required to assist in the running of the Leisure Centre.
19. Portray a positive image of the Leisure Centre, wearing the uniform provided whilst on duty.
