Steer Automotive Group, a leader in accident repair services, is expanding and looking for a skilled Panel Beater to join our state-of-the-art bodyshop in Maidstone. About the Role:
As a Panel Beater with Steer Automotive, you’ll be responsible for repairing and replacing damaged vehicle panels, restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. Working with a range of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models, you’ll ensure that all repairs meet top industry and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform a variety of panel repairs, including straightening, filing, sanding, and replacing body parts
* Use specialized tools to reshape and fit panels with precision
* Complete body alignment and welding tasks as needed
* Ensure repairs align with BSI PAS 10125 standards and manufacturer guidelines
* Inspect damaged vehicles to assess and plan the required work
* Collaborate effectively with the team to maintain smooth workflows and clear communication
* Follow Health & Safety procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment
About You:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Panel Beater with a commitment to excellence. Ideally, you’ll bring:
* Proven experience in panel beating and vehicle body repair
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
* Experience working on traditional and modern vehicles, including electric and hybrid models
* Ability to work independently and within a team setting
* ATA/NVQ qualifications in vehicle body repair (preferred but not essential; training and certification renewal support available)
* A flexible, proactive approach to work
