An opportunity arisen for a Technical Surveyor to join our thriving business. Covering the South region, the role will involve following up on enquiries, surveying jobs and promoting our products and services to ensure the smooth running and profitability of new and existing contracts. You will be expected to be proactive in winning new business as well as developing relationships with existing customers. A technical background within the door industry is essential, preferably as an ex-engineer. Previous experience within a sales role would be a distinct advantage, although not essential. You should however have experience of liaising with clients. an aptitude for providing excellent customer service, allowing you to maximise sales opportunities and profitability while also maximising customer satisfaction. Duties include: Carrying out site surveys pre and post-sales. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge on all products sold by BID Group and other allied products. Preparing accurate information to enable quotations to be raised and defining orders with customers. Supporting customers to ensure correct product selection to maximise the customer’s benefit. Estimating and supporting sales on all types of quotations Technical support across the business both internal and external Building and maintaining relationships with existing customers Visiting customer sites to ensure the correct preparations for installations. Ensuring sales to operations handovers are carried efficiently with all the correct paperwork in place. Contacting end user customers to build up professional relationships. Working to set targets and KPI’s. On request, this position can be assigned with other duties and responsibilities.
