The Practice Development Team will facilitate continuous improvement in patient care and implementation of the NMAHP Strategy through five dimensions:
1. Innovation: Seek out, test, and implement new and innovative practice.
2. Spread and Adoption: Promote adoption between specialties and sites to reduce variation in practice.
3. Rapid Response: Provide direct support to a ward or team identified as requiring improvement.
4. Coaching for Competence: Provide one-to-one support to individuals identified with a practice development need.
5. Knowledge and Skill Development: Enhance knowledge and skill development and implement learning pathways to achieve a skilled and professional workforce.
The post holder will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to developing and advancing practice. They will be an inspirational role model, reflecting the Trust core values, and will role model compassionate and inclusive leadership to shape a collective leadership culture within the trust.
This includes demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables, and empowers others, (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement, and (c) facilitates teamwork and collaboration within teams/departments and across organizational boundaries.
The post holder will have a valid UK driving license due to the need to commute between sites.
