Job Title: Legal Executive – Private Client

Job Description:
We are working with a highly respected legal practice in Buckinghamshire, seeking an experienced Legal Executive to join their Private Client team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and dedicated professional with a background in Private Client, to work to further their career within a dynamic and supportive firm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle a broad range of Private Client matters, including wills, probate, estate administration, lasting powers of attorney, trusts, and inheritance tax planning.
* Provide clear, concise, and tailored legal advice to clients, including individuals, families, and trustees.
* Draft and review wills, trust documents, probate applications, and related legal paperwork.
* Assist in the administration of estates, including obtaining grants of probate, liaising with HMRC regarding inheritance tax, and distributing assets.
* Manage a diverse caseload independently, ensuring all files are handled efficiently and within required timescales.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering empathetic and professional advice during sensitive times.
* Keep up to date with relevant changes in legislation and best practices in Private Client law.
* Contribute to the firm's business development activities, such as attending networking events, seminars, and promoting services to prospective clients.
* Work collaboratively with other team members and departments to deliver a seamless client experience.
Requirements:
* Qualified as a Legal Executive (CILEx) with demonstrable experience in Private Client law.
* Proven track record of managing a varied caseload of Private Client matters with minimal supervision.
* Excellent drafting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in all legal documents.
* Strong organisational abilities, able to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A client-focused approach with a compassionate and empathetic manner.
* Proficient in the use of legal case management systems and other office technology.
Desirable:
* STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) qualification or working towards it.
* Experience handling contentious probate or complex trust matters.
* Knowledge of tax planning strategies and trust administration.
