Job Description:
Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working with technical experts who are proud of their impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team handling complex and critical tasks to maintain the nation's critical infrastructure connectivity and security 24/7.
The Level 4 Rail Maintenance Shift Engineer will work a 4 on 4 off night shift pattern at four sites across the HS1 rail network, including St Pancras International, Stratford International, Ebbsfleet International, and Singlewell Depot. Flexibility is essential to support 24/7 operations and undertake additional activities outside normal shifts.
Responsibilities include:
* Performing reactive and preventive maintenance on SISS and Telecommunications systems to meet SLAs.
* Conducting daily reactive maintenance on SISS and Telephony systems.
* Carrying out technical investigations and audits.
* Executing maintenance activities, both corrective and planned, ensuring effective system restoration and compliance with reporting processes.
* Monitoring systems remotely to identify and resolve issues.
Candidate profile:
The successful candidate will maintain communication systems including CCTV, PA, CIS, EACS, Servers, and IP Networks, working night shifts on a 4 on 4 off schedule. If you have relevant experience and are comfortable working nights, this could be your next career step.
Key Requirements:
* Fault-finding skills with appropriate test equipment.
* Experience with CCTV, IP Networks, EACS, CIS, PAVA Server Environments, and copper/fibre cabling.
* Proven IT skills (e.g., Office 365).
* Experience with SLA-driven maintenance contracts.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
