Job Description
* Offer financial guidance and support to facilitate key business decisions with senior executives.
* Oversee financial projects, ensuring cost control and budget management in line with GovS 006.
* Lead financial reporting and analysis, providing accurate and timely financial information.
* Manage stakeholder relationships with differentiating priorities.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
* Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
* Interpret and report insights from management reports to facilitate the decision-making process by senior business leaders.
* Participate in the development of strategic business plans.
* Oversee the month-end process, analytics, variance analysis, and provide assurance for reporting packs.
* Review and challenge funding requests in line with HM Treasury's Managing Public Money.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Finance Business Partner should have:
* Accounting Qualification.
* Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
* Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
* Experience with infrastructure/property projects.
* Knowledge of Public Sector spending (DEL/AME funding).
* Proficiency in major accounting software and databases.
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
