The Private Sector Commercial Business Manager will develop mutually beneficial relationships with key private hospital groups for Johnson & Johnson Medical devices to become the preferred long-term strategic partner and drive profitable sales and market share growth. In that context, Johnson & Johnson MedTech has initiated a dynamic journey to combine a transactional business model (product selling) with a value-based organization (value selling). In which building long term strategic partnership with key customers is of paramount importance. Using multi-level customer management, we use an "outside in" approach, to mirror the organization of our strategic customer and change the way we engage all the partners involved in the new Value Based HealthCare decision making process. Key Responsibilities: The Commercial Business Manager will be responsible for: Build positive relationships with a broad range of key stakeholders within the C-Suite and at regional/site level to secure long-term sales growth for Surgery. Being responsible for the ongoing strategic relationship with the C suite customers at regional/site level Leading the BU Integrated Account Team (IAT) actions in relation to Private Sector activity Working across the customer matrix by region to ensure a detailed understanding of the customer environment and a deep understanding of key customer careabouts Supporting the sign up to group/account procurement frameworks and negotiating commercial contractual sign up with the Private sector customer. Being considered the business expert in Private Sector in relation to the Surgery portfolio, having an in-depth understanding of the award/panel mechanisms, negotiations and tender shaping, matching these to the needs of the customer. Supporting with the construction of growth-based pricing proposals through analysing customer and Health economic data and utilising the internal pricing matrices to complete our internal commercial strategy Selling the J&J Medical device commercial proposition through the relevant frameworks to develop long term partnership agreements. Working across the JJMT matrix (including the SAM, sales organisations, tenders and pricing team) to support tender applications and ensure their successful acceptance to our Private Sector preferred supplier frameworks. Supporting the data analysis which underpins these deals, illustrating and communicating the deal in a clear and concise manner to the customer The Commercial Business Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the internal and external commercial activity within designated Private Sector accounts. They are the guides in understanding the different routes to market across all franchises and for defining and driving commercial pricing strategies to win across all our Medical Device accounts. Working side-by-side with all franchise sales teams and the Strategic Account Management team, the Commercial Manager is the voice of Johnson & Johnson MedTech with the purchasing, procurement and accounts teams within the Private Sector groups. In their role the CM leads the sign up to the Private Sector preferred supplier frameworks and negotiates commercial contractual sign up with the customer for the relevant business unit driving execution by: Leading pricing set up and be the authority in the Private Sector frameworks demonstrating outstanding knowledge of how to apply our commercial proposals to the frameworks and individual accounts. Understanding how to demonstrate the commercial proposal to pass to drive the value-based agenda tailored to the individual group. Complete the contract management process to minimize any delays in contract and pricing set up, and drive growth through product sale. The CBM is the DRI for quarterly pricing reviews with the account. The CM will be the leader in Private sector commercial knowledge matching the needs of the customer to the appropriate J&J Medical device commercial offerings. Shaping the in depth understanding of commercial selling process within the integrated account teams and the specific account. Translating data insights into actions that challenge status quo and reinforce our competitive advantage across the groups. Driving data driven analysis of market and customer KPI's to match the tailored commercial offer to the customer. Identifies and shapes the opportunity for the handover of a strategic wins to the Business Units and their sales teams. Connecting, understanding and working within the commercial matrix to position the right capability for specific customer needs. Proactively assessing, clarifying, and validating the commercial requirements of the customer. Gathering feedback & insights from non-clinical customers, internal partners. Building strong relationships with non-clinical purchasing stakeholders to secure long-term sales growth for J&J MedTech. Feeds commercials into Integrated Account Team action plans to drive activity and sales growth. Delivering on sustainable, profitable growth through tailored commercial proposals, delivering on customer specific Triple Aim outcomes. Using commercial, outcome-based deal building, strong eye for business and negotiation skills, to handle contracting and tender processes. Keeping up to date with market trends and focus on changes in funding and service delivery, which may affect the implementation of the J&J strategy. Skills and competencies required: Notable executive presence coupled with the ability to design commercial solutions at all levels from board to board and beyond in the GB healthcare markets Strong commercial acumen evidenced by experience of working with or for the NHS/Private Sector Extensive experience and background in working with data to build commercial proposals within the medical device or Pharma industry or NHS / Private healthcare sector. Evidenced ability to deliver multi-layer "deal making" in healthcare Strong customer facing skill Incisive thinker, confident with concepts, analysis and commercial frameworks Ability to structure, manage and deliver change Team player with an enthusiastic, positive mindset, strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong track record of successful engagement with clinical & non-clinical stakeholders on operational matters Ability to work effectively in cross-functional matrix to successfully deliver objectives to time and budget A working understanding of the operative pathways in a hospital (commercial and purchasing). Passionate about doing an outstanding job for our customers Education & Experience Required: Experienced and successful sales background and/or Experienced in Commercial management and/or Experience and proficiency in data analysis and illustration Experience in commercial deal making.
