We are in search of a Senior Lighthouse Maintenance Engineer (Civil) to oversee the maintenance of specific elements within the Trinity House estate and ensure they meet the required standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Drafting contract specifications and negotiating cost-effective contracts for civil maintenance.
2. Evaluating contractors' technical suitability for Trinity House civil projects and guaranteeing compliance with CDM guidelines for all estate-related work.
3. Acting as the Trinity House Client, overseeing on-site contractors to ensure work aligns with agreed-upon standards and maintains high quality.
To be successful in this role you should ideally have:
Skills and experience
- An experienced building maintenance practitioner able to work unsupervised, including in selecting and managing building contractors.
- Understanding of management information systems.
- A thorough working knowledge of the HSE requirements as relating to the construction and building industries, in particular those relating to CDM.
Qualifications
- A level 4 qualification in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- NEBOSH CDM Certificate.
- Full driving licence.
