Position Details:
Job Title: Bakery Studies Lecturer
Location: Northamptonshire
Hours: Part-time
Start Date: ASAP (pending interview)
Contract Type: Temporary (potential to become permanent)
Pay Rate: £28 - £32 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging baking lessons that cater to a range of abilities
* Teach and demonstrate advanced baking techniques and practical skills
* Provide mentorship, support, and constructive feedback to students, fostering their development and enthusiasm for the craft
* Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and innovations to enhance teaching practices
Requirements:
* Proven experience in the baking industry, with hands-on expertise in professional baking or culinary arts.
* Previous experience as a Bakery Studies Lecturer or similar teaching role, preferably within a college setting
* Minimum GCSE qualifications in Maths and English
* Certification in baking or culinary arts (preferred but not essential)
* A valid DBS check registered with the online update service or willingness to apply for one
