We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity to join our Pharmacy Department as the Pharmacy Stores Team Leader. This is a Band 4 / 5 post depending on experience.

Our friendly and progressive Pharmacy Department seeks a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join our team, who will be responsible for supervising, directing, organizing, and monitoring the performance of our Pharmacy Stores team.
Main duties of the job
The Pharmacy Stores Team Leader role is centred around maintaining high work standards and ensuring efficient and safe distribution systems.
Core responsibilities include ordering essential items to prevent shortages, supporting deputy responsible person(s) to undertake day-to-day Wholesaler Dealer Authorisation (WDA) licensed activities, and organizing workloads.
Ensuring that the service and facilities are compliant with all aspects of Good Distribution Practice (EU GDP 2013/C 343/01) and all other relevant medicines regulations and quality standards is a key part of this role.
Other tasks include assisting with staff training and serving as a superuser for pharmacy robots, troubleshooting errors, and providing training and support to the operational lead in all aspects of regulatory audit (internal and external).
Additionally, this role involves supporting the Trust Outpatient Pharmacy and collaborating with other pharmacy team members to enhance patient care and flow.

Promoting high work standards at all times.
Organising and supervising the workload in pharmacy stores ensuring safe working practices
Overseeing the ordering process to ensure there's no shortage of essential items and coordinating with contracted or cost-effective suppliers.
Acting as a superuser for the Pharmacy Robots, resolving errors, and training staff on their usage.
Assisting in staff training and supervision.
Ensuring comprehensive, up-to-date training manuals for all procedures and a well-defined induction program for new hires.
Monitoring service quality through agreed performance metrics.
Ensuring facilities and services comply with Good Distribution Practice (EU GDP 2013/C 343/01) and other relevant medicine regulations and quality standards.
Supporting the primary functions of the main dispensary.

Qualifications
Essential
1. NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services and a BTEC in Pharmaceutical science (or equivalent qualification and underpinning knowledge) or NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services

2. Accredited Final Accuracy Checker qualification or be eligible and willing to work towards
3. NVQ assessor to A1 standard or equivalent or eligible to work towards
4. Practice Supervisory Training
5. Current Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Experience

6. Managing own workload to meet the needs of a service
7. Recent practical experience in a busy Pharmacy environment
