Our client is a leader in their field, designing and manufacturing specialist bearings for a range of industries. They are currently looking for a Lead Project Engineer to join their team based in South Shields on a permanent basis.

The Lead Project Engineer Role
As Lead Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end planning and execution of projects across the business, including coordinating with internal teams, suppliers and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and budget.
Other duties include:
• Coordinate pre-project planning, resolving supplier issues and optimising supply chain performance.
• Act as central point of contact for two sites, ensuring alignment between both operations as well as the broader supply chain.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring that business’ and customers’ needs are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
About the successful Lead Project Engineer
As Lead Project Engineer, you will have strong experience in project management and planning, ideally within manufacturing, industrial engineering, or marine/naval applications along with strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and align cross-functional teams.
Other requirements include:
• Proven track record in managing complex projects from conception to completion.
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and resource management.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to address project issues.
• Willingness and ability to travel to supplier sites both in the UK and internationally.
• Experience in Supply Chain Management and Planning.
