About the role:
As the HR Shared Services and People Policy Manager you’ll work closely with the People Operations
Manager, to drive greater operational efficiency and compliance regarding specialist people services
activity. This includes exploring high level complex HR queries, building integral auditing processes
and proactively identifying better ways of working.
You’ll also be responsible for the day-to-day management of People policy tasks, including
identifying policies to be aligned and modernised across the Group, drafting business proposals where applicable, leading any required implementation of operational activities and tracking their review periods. .
Who we’re looking for:
To be successful in this role you’ll have passion for change and challenging the status quo, combined with a strong understanding of key HR processes and practices. E xperience in delivering change and the ability to strongly manage stakeholder relationships and the ability influence those around you is also essential. Previous experience of drafting, communicating and developing Policies is also essential.
You’ll also have
· An understanding of Employment Law legislation – specifically being mindful of changes which impact existing policies or require the generation of new policies
· Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships both with internal and external stakeholders
· Experience in supporting a large stakeholder and colleague base across multiple locations with diverse needs and views
· Ability to problem solve and to lead small, intermediate-level projects
· Ability to proactively challenge, and influence stakeholders of differing seniority
· Strong organisation, administration and coordination skills with a good attention to detail
· Excellent administration skills with experience of working with Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
· Ideally an understanding of trends and data to drive decision making
· Experience of working in a unionised environment is desirable
· MCIPD Level 5 (or desire to work towards)
