Town Planning Surveyor (RTPI)
Our newly established North-West Planning and Development Team is looking for a Town Planning Surveyor (RTPI) to join our expanding team. Based at our Manchester office, you will be working as part of the team in servicing existing client work and supporting senior team members on wider planning projects and initiatives. As a growing team in a strong regional market, there will be excellent opportunities for developing skills and technical experience across a range of sectors and disciplines. Our team has already successfully blended home and office working and we are flexible with these arrangements. The role will suit someone who is looking to develop their planning experience within a multi-disciplinary real estate team.

Main tasks:
* The provision of professional, planning advice to clients on a variety of planning matters on sites across the North-West.
* Supporting the team through the preparation and submission of a range of planning applications.
* Liaising with local authorities and other statutory stakeholders on behalf of clients on planning applications and other planning related matters.
* Preparation and submission of Local Plan representations and promotion of sites through the process.
* Working with other departments of Carter Jonas to provide a range of services and professional advice to provide the best service to clients.
* General support of the wider Planning Team as appropriate.
What will it take to be successful?
The ideal candidate will have post qualification experience in a planning consultancy role with experience in consulting and/or local authority. As Planner you will be eager to develop your knowledge of the local area and the planning system. You will be able to work independently on smaller projects and as part of a team. You will have experience preparing for and attending client meetings and will have strong communication skills and a “can-do” attitude. You will be ambitious and proactive in your own development and will be keen to learn new skills.
