Job Summary: As a growing academy, we are delighted to be seeking a high-quality candidate for the role of Family Liaison Officer.
This is a diverse and exciting new role that will involve working within the Turing College Team who are responsible for Behaviour, Safeguarding, Attendance, and Personal Development.
The role will be a blend of office-based administrative tasks to support the Turing College pastoral team and vulnerable families from other colleges, in conjunction with face-to-face interactions with parents and students. This important role will have a significant positive impact for our most vulnerable students with home visits, parental meetings, and student mentoring for attendance, behavioural, and safeguarding matters, and pupil premium children.
The successful candidate will need to have experience of working directly with parents and students, hold exceptional communication skills, show empathy and understanding, while also upholding the values, beliefs, and expectations of the Academy. Administratively, the successful candidate will need to keep records of support they have put in place in addition to supporting with attendance, behavioural, and college administrative tasks, working alongside the senior leadership team and student services managers of Turing College; therefore, strong IT skills are also essential.
This is a permanent position, offering an actual salary of £22,431 per annum (£26,079 full-time equivalent), based on working 37 hours per week, term time + 1 week inset.
About Leigh Academy Rainham: In September 2021, we opened our doors to the 180 founding students of our co-educational comprehensive school for 11-18 year olds.
