Job overview This is a vital role within Diebold Nixdorf that requires experience in Product Repair, Service Operations, Service Logistics with strong leadership experience. We are expanding our Milton Keynes site to incorporate the technical repair function which will be in addition to Warehousing, Staging and Project Services, creating an ‘under one roof’ flagship service facility in the UK. The Repair Manager will lead a team of direct and indirect staff to deliver high performance from this vital business area. Responsible for ensuring the repair team repair and test mechanical, electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies to an industry leading standard, meeting the OEM guidelines to support delivery of exceptional service to our customers. The role will be accountable for the operational and commercial performance of the Repair Facility in every aspect, meeting demand profiles on and time within budget. Responsibilities Directs the efforts of subordinate managers and Repair Technician staff and Operations staff to perform their role Supports / drives budgeting, analytics and long-term capacity and demand planning to meet the needs of the Service business Partners and develops influence with cross-functional product, technical and support organizations to ensure alignment and coordination of repair activities. Implements and utilizes risk mitigation and issue management procedures to reduce potential negative impacts to overall program effectiveness. Analyzes performance measures and trends and drives improvements in the overall repair portfolio. Recommends improvements in methods, budget expenditures, equipment usage and procedures based on statistical and process analyses. Actively manages open issues and works with senior leaders and internal partners to develop key decisions. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. Typically has 8-10 years of experience in Repair Technician and typically 2-4 years leadership experience. Experienced in logistics operation, P&L management in a customer delivery environment. Strong Stakeholder management at all levels.
