The role:
The core responsibility of this role is to lead business performance insight and optimisation, ensuring a deep shared understanding of what is driving performance of Noli on a daily, weekly and monthly basis; and facilitating the shared action planning to deliver and beat our plan.
You will be responsible for developing the business performance management reporting, insighting tools and business cadence. The scope of business performance includes off platform, on platform and product performance. You will do this with a small team of business and product analysts across marketing, sales / commercial and product. In addition, you will be responsible for managing. You will work with all venture POD leaders to ensure common understanding of business performance and the action plans needed to deliver and beat the plan. Based in London, you will work as part of a lean, dynamic Noli team, bringing a growth mindset, sharp analytical thinking & deep expertise of eCom optimization.
Key responsibilities:
Establish Business Performance Management Approach
1. Lead development of common Business Performance Management approach across off platform, on platform and product performance aligned to venture OKR / KPIs.
2. Establish and continually refine venture KPI and measurement framework.
3. Shape, develop or refine existing tools e.g. Google / Meta, Amplitude, MetaBase reporting to generate the insights required, and make available across the venture.
4. Establish business performance management cadence e.g. via weekly KPI meeting and other forums to create a common understanding of business performance.
5. Establish SOP for exceptional performance diagnostic and process for cross POD investigation and resolution of performance issues.
6. Work closely with product teams to ensure Product insight is developed on an ongoing basis in line with Business Performance Management approach.
Generate Business Performance Insights
1. Lead and guide business and product analyst team to understand business performance on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
2. Develop and explore opportunities for business performance optimisation on a rolling basis across but not limited to traffic / off platform optimisation, on platform optimisation, NRM and core commercial optimisation, product and journey optimisation.
3. Manage the measurement of the performance of key business and product tests vs baseline and create common shared understanding of the impact.
4. Deep dive on business performance improvement hypotheses and summarise critical insight.
5. Simulate and model potential impact of changes in business or product performance to create consistent approach for forward-facing decisions.
Facilitate Cross Venture Understanding Of Performance & Action Plan
1. Bring together business performance insights into structured performance review on a weekly basis with venture wide POD leads.
2. Provide daily / intra week business performance updates, celebrating success and highlighting areas of attention across the venture.
3. Facilitate process of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly plan delivery, including action planning to close gap to plan.
4. Providing periodic updates to senior leadership and stakeholders outside venture e.g. investors, steerco on business performance.
5. Work with Revenue and Growth lead to understand, improve and continually optimize performance from off platform / traffic optimisation to on platform engagement and conversion including but not limited to traffic, channel performance, journey optimisation, commercial and price optimisation, assortment optimisation.
6. Integrate business performance insight with Consumer research and testing created by Noli or from any non Noli data source e.g. LOreal shopper insight.
7. Work with Product teams to understand impact of Product changes and shopper journeys on business performance and results both in product ideation and design and product feature / release testing and improvement.
Lead Team Of Business & Product Analysts
1. Lead and manage day to day priorities of team of business and product analysts with experience across campaign, traffic, commercial, NRM and product analytics.
2. Coach and lead personal development of product analysts and managers in your team to allow them to grow personally and drive business performance.
Requirements:
1. Strong leadership experience in business performance and analyst roles in eCommerce.
2. Deep understanding of off platform / campaign, on platform, commercial and product analytics and ability to integrate all end to end to understand and improve business performance.
3. Technical skills in the design and set up of business performance analytics tools for marketing, eCommerce, and product. Prior experience with Amplitude preferred.
4. Experience working in start up or scale up, with lean agile POD structure.
5. Knowledge and understanding of beauty category / industry either from working for a brand, eCom platform or retailer.
6. Proven ability to lead, manage and develop team of business and product analysts.
