House Manager – Foxhill Manor, Farncombe Estate
We’re on the lookout for our next House Manager at Foxhill Manor, part of Farncombe Estate. Nestled in the heart of the Estate, Foxhill Manor is a stunning grade-two listed, five AA red star private house hotel with eight beautifully designed bedrooms and suites. This boutique hideaway invites guests to forget the “hotel rule books” and experience indulgent, tailored hospitality.
About the Role
The House Manager is a hands-on hosting role focused on curating a seamless guest experience, rather than direct management of team members. "Manager" in this context refers to managing the guest journey and creating an impeccable environment where exceptional hospitality flourishes. House Managers are supported and guided by Senior House Managers.
Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as a gracious host, ensuring guests’ needs are met throughout their stay
* Coordinating with chefs and housekeeping to deliver exemplary five-star service
* Serving food, drinks, and fine wines while offering concierge services such as estate transport and reservations
* Managing arrivals and departures, providing personalized and thoughtful guest services
About You
We’re seeking someone with:
* Experience in luxury venues where high service standards are the norm
* Confidence and warmth when interacting with guests who have elevated expectations
* Familiarity with fine wines and dining service
* A natural flair for hosting, with genuine hospitality at the heart of everything you do
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
* A passion for going above and beyond to surprise and delight guests
The Details
* Permanent contract, 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends with a mix of early, middle, and late shifts
* Uniform and meals on duty provided
* A full UK driving license is essential as guest transport across the Estate forms part of the role

We offer a salary of £29,328 per year, plus service charge (up to around £2,500 per year) so a total expected package of around £31,800. We also provide a clothing allowance, paid monthly, and provide complimentary food on duty.
