This contract is for our UK&E Justice & Immigration business with the UK Home Office Immigration Enforcement department to manage the Gatwick Immigration Removal Centres (IRC). Under the Gatwick IRC and PDA contract, we manage and operate both the Brook House and Tinsley House IRCs, as well as providing Pre-Departure Accommodation services.
Gatwick Pre-Departure Accommodation (PDA), opened in June 2017 and can accommodate a family at a time in self-contained apartments within a secure facility which respects privacy and independence. Families will only be referred to Gatwick PDA based on advice of the family returns panel, an independent body of child welfare experts, and will stay for no more than 72 hours before their departure from the UK. In exceptional circumstances, with ministerial authority, this may be extended to 1 week.
