Overview
We will pay a basic salary of upto £40,000 for the right person, Ote uncapped but we have workshop managers earning £65,000+
The business is open 6 days a week and Saturday working until 5pm will be required, it is a 5day week with a day off in the week and No Sundays. You will not be required to work every Saturday This will be discussed at interview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Workshop Manager to oversee operations within our workshop environment. The ideal WPRKSHOP MANAGER will possess a strong mechanical background and demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities. This role involves managing a team, ensuring the efficient operation of equipment, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The Workshop Manager will be responsible for coordinating repair and assembly tasks while providing excellent customer service.
Duties
* Supervise workshop staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely
* Conduct regular inspections of workshop equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations.
* Provide training and support to team members on equipment use and safety protocols.
* Maintain an organised workshop environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.
* Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions in a timely manner.
* Perform heavy lifting as required during the repair or assembly processes.
Skills of a workshop manager
* Proficient in equipment repair with a solid understanding of mechanical principles.
* Experience using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
* Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
* Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance and assembly work.
* Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as needed in the workshop environment.
