Are you passionate about delivering exceptional equine ambulatory care? Do you thrive in a role that allows you to manage cases from start to finish, setting your own professional standards? If so, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
We are working with a small, independent, and well-established Ambulatory Equine Practice in the picturesque ceremonial county of Rutland, East Midlands. Known for its beautiful villages, cycling, sailing, and historic market towns such as Oakham and Uppingham, Rutland offers an idyllic location with a rich cultural heritage.
This practice is celebrated for its clinical excellence and prioritises giving its veterinarians complete autonomy in their work. The team is dedicated, supportive, and values camaraderie, hard work, and a great sense of humour.
The role provides total clinical freedom, supported by high-quality equipment and an experienced team. You will have the opportunity to manage a varied caseload, working with horses across the spectrum - from Pony Club favourites to 5* eventers. Your work will focus on orthopaedics, medicine, and standing surgery, performed either in the field or in a purpose-built treatment room.
Each veterinarian is equipped with a purpose-built van featuring a fridge, inverter, DR system, and ultrasound scanner. Shared equipment includes a Class 4 laser, video endoscope, gastroscope, and shockwave therapy tools. Clients are carefully vetted, and two dedicated receptionists help streamline caseloads by providing valuable background information. Weekly team meetings offer a chance to discuss cases, celebrate successes, and share learning experiences.
This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic equine veterinarian who values clinical independence, excellent support, and the chance to make a real impact within a close-knit team.
