My client is looking for a Manager for a young people’s home near Bradford.
This is a temporary position, not a permanent role.

The Residential Children’s Care Home Manager is a key member of the team and is critical to the success of the work we do and the outcomes we achieve.
You will be responsible for managing a Children’s Residential Care Home and ensuring that it is a safe and secure place for the child.

Duties:
1. To lead and manage a Children’s Home in a consistent and reliable manner.
2. To ensure that the home's Statement of Purpose is adhered to throughout all working practice.
3. To achieve “Good” with the aspirational focus to achieve an “Outstanding” Service under Children’s Home Regulations and Ofsted Regulatory framework.
4. Responsibility for the management of services, including staff management and supervisions, care and placement planning, safeguarding, communications, report writing, and monitoring overall quality and compliance of service.
5. Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
6. Ensure that all required reports are completed in line with timescales.
7. To ensure that the child has individual care and care planning which is child-focused and personalized to meet their needs.
8. Take responsibility for the management of safeguarding children, risk, and service governance.
9. Ensure that children have access to all the services which meet their individual needs.
10. Responsibility for the regular supervision of the staff team and others as required.
11. To support and have overall responsibility for the recruitment of staff in line with organizational policy and procedure.
12. To coach and support the development of the team.
13. To ensure that all staff are supported with their initial induction, probationary reviews, individual practice support plans, and annual reviews and development of individual plans to support ongoing service and personal development and CPD opportunities.

Requirements:
1. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children’s Residential, or equivalent. Demonstrate commitment to continuing personal development.
2. Experience: 2 years’ experience working with children in the last 5 years. Supervision or management experience. Working with children, young people, and their families. Work in a residential setting. Multi-agency working knowledge and understanding.
