The Role
A Site Manager will contribute to Gentoo Media’s mission of growing and developing its online gambling affiliate business by overseeing and managing the content and SEO strategy for an affiliate website(s) to be determined by Gentoo Media. Site Managers will be tasked with the implementation of strategies in collaboration with the SEO-Content team, with a view to realizing the strategic objectives of the Publishing department, i.e. defending, growing and diversifying the business, as they relate to content, SEO, design, processes, and procedures. Additional responsibilities include day-to-day website management and reporting, as well as continuous optimisation of content in collaboration with the other departments in Gentoo Media. The site manager will be reporting directly to the Content Team Lead.
What you will be doing:
* Work with their team to define and implement on-page and off-page content and SEO strategies for each website under their supervision.
* Day-to-day website management including uploading content and content editing.
* Keep an updated record of performing pages for each website and communicate these to the relevant teams including the Outreach team.
* Ensure that all content follows guidelines and is aligned with standards and guidelines provided by the Head of Publishing and the Head of SEO.
* Lead communication with our freelance writers, and provide them with detailed templates and guidelines for all website content.
* Attend monthly meetings for all units assigned to them and assist team members in creating slidedecks.
* Actively participate in other training and development opportunities.
* Regularly check our portfolio of websites to discover issues or areas for improvement in terms of content and SEO and flag these to team members, offering assistance if required.
* Use the SEO and Content tools provided to conduct website audits.
* Monitor competitor websites to discover and fill content gaps, as well as gaps in relation to partners and technology.
* Oversee the launch of new projects, websites, and/or website languages with the aim of contributing to the diversification of our business.
* Provide reports on content performance.
