Incident Communications and Coordination Engineer

NB: This role runs on a shift pattern - Sunday to Thursday 7:30AM - 4PM and is largely remote with some time on site in the Reading area.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Incident Communications and Coordination Engineer to join Experis on a permanent basis. You will be working as part of our Employed Consultant team, on site with a multi-national technology company based in Reading. Role Purpose:
An Incident Communications and Coordination Engineer is required to work as part of a collaborative team that serves as an incident management and communications support operation for both external and internal users. You will be required to support a variety of Microsoft technology offerings that form the Office 365 offering including SharePoint, Exchange, and Lync.
You will form part of a global 24x7 operation and will be required to coordinate and effectively communicate on high severity incidents in the Office 365 space. Working with multiple teams, you will need to deliver timely and accurate communications to internal stakeholders and to external users.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshoot escalated issues for Exchange, SharePoint, Lync, and other service problems.
2. Drive calls during service outage situations for our customers.
3. Develop communication plans with partners to minimise impact during system maintenance.
4. Display excellent analytical and organizational skills.
5. Provide full measurement, analysis, and reporting of all key indicators.
6. Execute disaster recovery procedures when and if necessary.
7. Deliver communications to strict SLAs.
8. Work closely with remote support.
9. Communicate effectively throughout internal IT groups (verbally and written as appropriate).
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. Experience in technical or creative English writing.
2. Experience in larger scale network operations centre, 24x7 production environment.
3. Excellent problem resolution, judgment, and decision making skills.
4. Strong written and oral communication skills.
5. Strong analytical and organizational skills.
6. Strong troubleshooting skills.
7. Experience in systems work, monitoring, and helpdesk support is preferred.
