Your Role: The Head of Information Technology directs and controls the development, implementation and maintenance of the company's information and communications systems and strategy. Support to the Business - Provide a company-wide source of expertise and training on information technology and communications to ensure that managers and staff have the best possible information for effective decision-making and accessing data. - Proactively and regularly engage with operations management to review I.T. service levels and drive ongoing actions to continuously improve those services. - Develop and implement a comprehensive and effective help desk / supplier support service to provide technical support to systems users to appropriate timescales to meet business needs. - Negotiate service level agreements with internal customers and service providers and monitor service delivery to ensure that agreed targets and standards are met. Develop and maintain Systems and Data Flows - Direct the development and implementation of company-wide information and communications systems which provide all required support to company operations. - Oversee the management of all data and information flows within the company to ensure that comprehensive and accurate management information is available as required. - Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all developments relevant to information technology and cyber security and upgrade internal systems as necessary. Data Protection - As company data protection officer, develop and introduce processes, procedures and systems, to ensure the cyber security and confidentiality of all company data and to provide protection against internal and external threats. GDPR - Constantly monitors and audits the company’s systems periodically to ensure all practices are in line with GDPR rules and regulations where applicable. Cyber Compliance - Will oversee, direct and implement the proper processes and procedures as required per company’s cyber security mandates. This will include but not be limited to processes set out below: o Implement and enforce processes to decommission unused systems o Conduct regular security awareness training with staff o Work regularly with IT company to conduct phishing campaign o Work with IT company to regularly test backups for restorability o Ensure that company backups are stored physically offsite and stored offline to safeguard from infection o Enforce and implement annually tested Company Standard Operating Procedure for an Incident Response plan with the ability to quickly contain an incident o Responsible for implementing and enforcing formal Company Disaster Recover and Business Continuity plans that are annually tested o Ensure PCI compliance at all locations Strategic Input to broader business plans - Contribute to the development of the company’s strategic and business plans in relation to information technology and communications systems, in support of the company’s mission and core objectives. - Develop an annual business plan and operating budget for I.T. and monitor the implementation of these to ensure that financial targets are met. I.T. Supplier Management - Negotiate contracts with external providers for services and products which cannot be provided internally or best provided by a third party and monitor service delivery to ensure that agreed targets and standards are met. Additional Ad hoc responsibilities as reasonably requested. Your Qualifications A degree in Information Technology, or related field of study 7 years of IT Manager experience. Management experience in developing successful IT strategies. Experience in implementing a growth plan to drive change and opportunities for collaboration within an organization.
