Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you a psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting? Do you want to support students with special educational needs while developing your understanding of child psychology?
Details:
* Salary: £80 - £90 per day
* Immediate start until July 2025
* ‘Outstanding’ secondary school, Walsall
* 1:1 SEN support across KS3 and KS4
As a Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support, including those with autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. You will assist them in accessing the curriculum, developing social skills, and managing emotions effectively. Your role will involve implementing tailored interventions, working alongside teachers and the SENCO, and providing consistent encouragement to help students thrive.
This role is perfect for a psychology graduate considering a career in educational psychology, teaching, or SEN support. You should be patient, empathetic, and proactive in your approach to helping students. Experience working with young people, whether through volunteering, tutoring, or care work, is beneficial. Strong communication skills and a passion for supporting students with additional needs are essential.
