The successful Senior Healthcare Assistant / HCA will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents during the night, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Senior Care Assistant / HCA Key Responsibilities: Provide personal care and assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and toileting. Administer medication in accordance with individual care plans and medication policies. Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met. Monitor residents’ health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel. Foster a warm and supportive environment for residents, promoting independence and dignity. Supervise and support Care Assistants, providing guidance and assistance as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and resident observations. Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or incidents during the night shift. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for residents. Job Requirements: NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care Minimum of 2 year of experience working as a Senior Care Assistant in a care home setting, preferably with elderly residents. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Compassionate, empathetic, and patient approach to care.
