SENIOR CLINICAL RESEARCH FELLOW IN KNEE SURGERY - (StR Higher Level)
Applications are invited for the above post commencing 5-February 2025 until 5-August 2025.
The Orthopaedic and Trauma Department is based in the two Major Teaching Hospitals in the City of Cardiff, the Capital of Wales. The post is attached to the Cardiff Lower Limb Arthroplasty Unit, at both the University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital Llandough and serves a local population of 500,000 and provides a tertiary referral service for a population of 1.5 million. The successful candidate will be exposed to all aspects of knee surgery. There is a fully established Research Unit, and the successful candidate will be expected to take part in ongoing research projects together with specific research.
Main duties of the job
The Post Holder will be expected to work at specialist Registrar level and will participate in the specialist Registrar on-call rota at Llandough Hospital. Responsibilities include:
1. Clinics, review/research clinics
2. Lists, own and supervised
3. Assigned 1 or 2 projects
4. Access to university facilities
5. Original research encouraged
6. Duties will include retrospective review, liaising with university departments, and screening and scoring patients

Salary: Depending on experience £43,821 to £68,330 per annum.
