We have an exciting opportunity for a Hire Controller to join the team of a company that supplies specialist plant equipment to the construction sector.
Our client has a great reputation in the industry and is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and flexible all-rounder to work as part of a busy depot based hire desk team within a supportive company. Great opportunities for progression are available.
Role
1. First point of contact for customer enquiries
2. Setting up new customer accounts and credit checking
3. Responsible for receiving orders and collections of equipment
4. Calculating and supply of quotes
5. Negotiating with customers on hire rates and non-standard product prices
6. Planning transport for deliveries and collections
7. Dealing with off hires and collection notes
8. To proactively work jointly with all departments
9. Assisting with yard procedures
10. Dealing with damages, calculating costs, liaising with customers regarding damages and ensuring payment is received
11. Full training on product range will be given
Requirements
1. Minimum 1 year experience working within the construction/material supplies or hire industry
2. Strong customer service skills and experience
3. Excellent organisational skills
4. Ideally you need to have your own transport for travel to the depot location
