Expro is currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Support Engineer to join the Subsea team based in Aberdeen.
Overall Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for Expro’s operational engineering activities within the Global Operations Support team. Undertake general engineering tasks in line with Subsea Product Line Technical Support Standard and as directed by Line Manager.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
* Produce the required operational and engineering documents/drawings, in compliance with industry standards and Expro policies and procedures.
* Workflow operational and engineering documents/drawings in the Product Lifecycle Management system and configure as required.
* Actively participate in operational and engineering meetings, with internal and external parties.
* Liaise with other technical departments on work produced to ensure that any calculations and analysis are fit for purpose.
* Provide support (Workshop, In Field, In country) for all Subsea Projects as required.
* Identify improvements to operational & engineering processes and procedures.
* Ensure that all events are properly recorded and reported, and that an investigation is carried out to establish and rectify root causes.
* Participate in project meetings, incorporating relevant comments and lessons learned for continual improvement.
* Keep abreast of advances in technology or methodology.
* Attend planning/briefing meetings; interpret documentation requirements; understand the technology and applications for which the documentation is to be prepared.
* Liaise with internal and external departments as needed to resolve questions and queries, and communicate with supervisor/manager on any issues or concerns.
Job Knowledge and Qualifications:
* Degree in relevant engineering discipline or appropriate industry experience.
* Proficient in the use of technical software packages such as AutoCAD.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
