About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the Wirral and Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners who require additional support to thrive in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to students with SEN, including those with Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
* Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
* Support students in their learning both inside and outside the classroom.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student engagement and independence.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
* Help with personal care needs where necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times.
* Participate in school activities, trips, and extracurricular programs as required.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young adults with SEN in an educational setting.
* A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with additional needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Knowledge of various SEN conditions and strategies to support learning and development.
* Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate, or equivalent, are desirable but not essential.
* An enhanced DBS check registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
