Job summary We are looking for a Band 7 Community Mental Health Nurse to work in our new service the Initiating Treatment Team which was set up in April 23. We are a Brief intervention service providing short term treatment, care and support for people with mental health difficulties in the primary care sector. This role will give you the opportunity to network, build relationships with services & patients from across the Primary Care Network. The successful candidate will work closely with our new Primary Care Network Mental Health Team to facilitate reviews of patient needs and initiate mental health treatment for a range of conditions. Promoting health wellbeing through health promotion and education & also Providing education, monitoring and initiation of mental health medication management in primary care. This is an exciting new service for the successful candidate to lead and shape the way forward in the delivery of Community Primary Care Mental Health Services. Main duties of the job The post holder will be able to demonstrate the following: Registered Mental Health (RMN) Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification or willing to undertake the training Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD) Experience of working within a Mental Health setting Ability to work under pressure and ability to contain and manage the stress of others and oneself Robust clinical judgement Ability to work autonomously and take an appropriate level of responsibility Participate in Patient Safety investigations, complaints and any relevant investigations in line with Trust policies. Mentorship and supervision of students Develop innovative practice to deal creatively with service demands for referrals, allocations, monitoring of KPI's and clinical caseload management To hold a UK driving licence, essential to drive to Primary care network bases and trust sites.
