Lead Nurse/Professional for Safeguarding
Salary: £62,215 to £72,299 (Band 8b Agenda for Change)

Role Overview:
As the Professional Lead for Safeguarding, you will provide leadership, management and expertise within this specialist field, encompassing Adults and Childrens Services in both Acute and Community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Continually assess the training and development needs relating to safeguarding for the whole organisation.
2. Plan with the education team and colleagues in the Local Authority on how to deliver the required training.
3. Enable compliance with statutory training requirements adjusting to legal changes as required.
4. Lead on the monitoring and reporting on safeguarding performance indicators.
5. Prepare reports for the Safeguarding Committee and Quality committee.
6. Brief the Executive Team on organisational responsibilities in safeguarding, writing quarterly and annual board reports to provide assurance.
Qualifications:
The successful post-holder will have extensive experience within a senior Safeguarding role within a health or social care setting. You will need current registration with NMC/HCPC or Social Work England/Wales/Scotland to apply for this position.
