Mechanical Field Service Engineer (precision engineering) up to c35k + Bonus + Car

As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer with a background in precision engineering, you will join a global strong maintenance team, but work independently representing the company at customer premises.
This mechanically biased field service engineer role supports the field service team. This precision engineering role covers installation, service, repair, and calibration of the company’s precision measuring equipment.
REMOTE base - Coverage - customer base in the Midlands / North of the UK (to be discussed).
Ideal location to be based - East Midlands or Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities
1. Visit customer sites to install precision measuring equipment.
2. Complete service and calibration work.
3. Undertake troubleshooting including fault-finding, diagnosis, and rectification.
4. Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and kept in a clean and tidy condition.
5. Apply the Health, Safety & Environmental Policy.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Background in Mechanical Engineering / maintenance or similar.
2. Experience of fault finding on mechanical/electrical systems.
3. Background in precision engineering with tools and equipment like CMM, Profilometer, or Micrometers & Calipers, Optical Comparators, Air Gauges, CNC Machines, Diamond Turning Machines, Electrical Discharge Machines, Autocollimators, Inclinometers, Vibration Isolation Tables, sensor systems (pressure temp etc.), digital scale systems, optical measuring systems, hardness testing machines, coordinate measuring machines, vision measuring systems, fixture systems - just for example.
4. Demonstrate compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation.
5. Good IT skills.
6. Full valid driving license. ESSENTIAL - (field-based role with car).
7. Strong time management skills.
8. Good interpersonal skills.
