Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board
This post will join the team of Consultants responsible for the provision of the Gastroenterology Services to the University Health Board in Cwm Taf Morgannwg. The Locum consultant will be based at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend, but will be required to undertake sessions in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant, Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil and across other sites within the organisation.

The post will be required to share with Consultant colleagues in the responsibility of providing outpatient and inpatient services for the local population.
The post will also work with the Directorate Management team to assist in the strategic planning and modernisation of Gastroenterology services; deliver internal and external targets for patient activity and achieve financial balance.
This post will involve travel between sites and travel time will be reflected in job plan.

Main duties of the job
In a full 10-session job plan, 8 sessions will be for Direct Clinical Care (DCC), which will include time for Patient Related Administration. 2 sessions will be for Supporting Professional Activities (SPA), which will include a minimum 1 session allocated for your own CPD, audit, job planning and revalidation and a further session allocated to essential management or teaching tasks within the directorate. Any post working less than 10 sessions will be organized with a pro rata split between DCC and SPA and anyone interested in a job plan less than 10 sessions or who has specific working day requests is advised to contact a member of the directorate team to discuss their requirements. We support flexible working and time off in lieu and will consider all such applications.
