We’re recruiting for a dynamic and driven bar manager with an eye for detail, and flair for creativity!
The successful candidate will be responsible for a team of approximately 20 staff and work as an integral part of the larger Bullitt team, reporting to the senior venue manager and operations manager.
Key responsibilities:
* Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring a smooth, efficient and friendly service.
* Lead and motivate a team of up to 20 bartenders and floor staff, fostering a positive, professional working environment.
* Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to ensure availability of drinks and bar essentials.
* Monitor and control bar costs, including labour and stock wastage.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, and maintain cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas.
* Actively engage in the recruitment process – including shortlisting, conducting interviews and forecasting staff costs.
* Liaise with musicians and promoters when organising and facilitating events.
Essential criteria:
* Proven management experience in a similar role and venue (2 years)
* A hands-on approach with a passion for creating exceptional customer experiences.
* Knowledge of managing stock and spillage costs
* Experience managing labour budgets
* Proven track record of people management including recruitment, appraisals, training and rotas
* Ability to further improve and build on standards through staff training and coaching.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
* A good working knowledge of I.T Systems
* An understanding and appreciation of Belfast nightlife and music scene
