Job description Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities. Responsibilities - Personal care needs - Management of saliva/secretions (suction machine has been ordered). - Management of PEG feeds and flushes. - Monitoring of weight due to weight loss. - Continence care. - Management of skin integrity. - Full assistance with moving and handling ensuring risk assessment is followed. - Anticipation of all needs. - Reassurance and management of distress. - Administration of medications via PEG. - Monitoring of pain - On-going therapy for management of posture. - Night time needs. - Assistance with hydrotherapy Requirements Minimum 2 Years Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant (required) Minimum 1 year experience with Brain injury / spinal injury (required) Minimum 1 year experience with Peg feeding (required) A valid UK driving licence with vehicle (required) A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to vulnerable individuals. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
