Role: Care Manager/ Business Manager
Location: Medway - must be a driver
Salary: £38,000
Hours: 40 hours per week
A rare and unique opportunity to lead an organisation providing expert domiciliary care to dementia patients in Kent with creative care plans that explore care in a new way. You will be responsible for managing operations from CQC Registration to recruitment, and beyond while maximising profitability, managing funds, and driving commercial success.
This is a brand-new position and will be an instrumental role in building a successful operation. With a strong business model backed by the KCC and mirrored through a partnering charity, all this team is missing is the perfect Care/Business Manager to drive things forward. There is a wonderful team of people who work for the partner charity who are there to support and guide the new person in this role.
This is a hands-on role that will see you doing a wide variety of duties including:
Compliance:
* CQC Application
* Overseeing statutory, legal and financial requirements particularly Quality Care Commission
* Monitor and assess effectiveness of services and identify areas of improvement
* Write best practice protocols
Staff and Training:
* Recruit, train, supervise, and oversee allocation of Dementia Befrienders
* Oversight of all staff safety and compliance
* Provide ongoing training, education, and professional development opportunities for staff
Care:
* Develop personalised support plans that address individual needs
* Manage referrals and undertake a rigorous risk and needs assessment; liaise with funding authorities where applicable
* Collaborate with families, social workers, community providers, etc.
Commercial and Financial:
* Manage budget and allocate resources accordingly
* Input payroll information to SAGE Payroll
* Raise and pay invoices via SAGE
* Report on operational performance to the board
* Marketing campaigns for the service - Marketing support can be provided by charity partner
This role suits a self-starter with a background in care and a passion for driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate would have experience:
* In a leadership role within the healthcare or social care sector, with a focus on care management
* Qualification in domiciliary or dementia care or relevant experience
* Proficiency in budget management, resource allocation, and performance measurement
