Responsible for effective 1st line supervision and support for team members within a production zone, along with supporting the Manufacturing Supervisors with the efficient completion of SAP and other systems based duties to ensure parts are released to dispatch in a timely manner.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* 1st line supervisory management of employees in designated production zone. Excludes the undertaking of formal people management procedures.
* Co-ordinate and assign employees in line with their qualification matrix, co-ordinating tasks within the shift to ensure work plans provided by MRP are completed in a timely manner to comply with KPIs. Escalate any issues/potential roadblocks and adjust the sequence of plans accordingly.
* Co-ordinate shift changes in conjunction with the Manufacturing Supervisors.
* Maintain shift related information in shop floor management (i.e., shop floor information point boards, reporting results and implementing improvements).
* Be responsible for maintaining the SFM meeting point boards located within designated production zones and report results and implement necessary improvements.
* Record and work through instances of waste and any potential improvements within production and the organisational structures (working towards improving EKOS methods).
* Ensure team members are compliant with all workplace instructions and procedures.
* Responsible for the instruction and training of employees (including the initial instruction in occupational safety) in conjunction with the T&D department and the Manufacturing Supervisors.
* Ensure and comply with all work related regulations including Quality Awareness and Health Safety.
* Update and maintain machines and personnel capacity requirements in SAP system.
* Responsible for inventory accuracies within the zonal areas in line with MRP.
* Undertake Audits (as and when required).
Your Credentials:
* Previous experience in 1st line supervisory management with ability to motivate and support team members effectively. Must have an appropriate confident approach in holding your team members to account.
* Driven, self-motivated and able to multi-task and maintain a cool head in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
* Approachable, with excellent communication and organisational skills as well as good attention to detail.
* Ability to adapt to change quickly and be flexible (e.g., may need to cover different production zones from time to time).
* Previous experience of SAP transactions is beneficial; however, training can be given.
* Strong MS Excel skills along with a good working knowledge of Word, Teams, Outlook are required.
Additional Information:
* Full-time position Monday to Friday (37 hrs per week).
* Shift working will be required.
* Flexible to work overtime if and when required.
* Basic salary level for full role = £30,000 per annum.
