The governors of this happy, friendly and well-respected Catholic school wish to appoint a temporary part-time Teaching Assistant to join our committed, hard-working team. This post is to work within our Upper KS2 classes and is required to provide support.
You will have at least a relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification, or 3 years full-time or 5 years part-time experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
This post could be as a Senior Teaching Assistant for the right person, who can demonstrate that they have been working in a Senior Teaching Assistant role for 2 years. The salary for a Senior Teaching Assistant is PCD7 (£27,711(A) pro rata term time only).
We are looking for someone who has:
1. Experience of working within an Upper Key Stage 2 class
2. A commitment to upholding and supporting the Catholic ethos of the school
3. Good knowledge and experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, in particular social, emotional & mental health issues and challenging behaviour
4. Motivation and enthusiasm
5. High expectations for pupils
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
7. Ability to work as part of a team
8. The ability to remain calm in challenging situations
9. Flexibility is essential
