To provide a full range of medical secretarial & personal assistant services to the Colposcopy Team including co-ordination of the monthly MDT.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide expert knowledge and support for the Colposcopy database (training will be provided).
2. To provide database support on the regional database KC65 and the Colposcopy database.
3. To provide a focal point for communication and exchange of information by the Colposcopy Team and manage patient and GP enquiries related to the Colposcopy service.
4. Manage own workload, demonstrate efficient organisation and oversee the smooth effective operation of the department.
5. To work autonomously within a team, providing full organisational support to the Colposcopy Team.
6. To ensure procedures and working practices are in place so that the speciality and Trust can deliver a service that meets the standards and targets that have been set.
7. To provide a considerate, patient focused service in all dealings with patients and with staff around the hospital and throughout the whole system.

Job responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Colposcopy) team working 37.5 hours per week.
The successful applicant will have the ability to work as part of the team in order to deliver a high quality patient experience and Secretarial service for our Colposcopy team, display excellent communication skills, and have an understanding of delivering healthcare services. You will need to demonstrate commitment to care quality and performance delivery, alongside being a team player with the ability to problem solve and work independently.

Qualifications
* Good standard of education to at least A level, Scottish Higher, BTEC, NVQ 3, Baccalaureate or equivalent
Knowledge & Experience
* Medical secretarial experience
* At least 50 wpm typing skills
* Audio typing experience
* Have an awareness of current healthcare policy, national guidance and regulatory bodies
* Experience of working in a Colposcopy department and the national guidance and standards/targets we work towards
