We are currently recruiting for adult support workers across the North West.
Our client’s vision is to provide a range of services dedicated to empowering those with learning disabilities, enduring mental ill health, autism, and other complex needs.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Is able to communicate effectively with people, including people using services, their families and colleagues.
• Knowledge of the needs and rights of people with learning disabilities and an understanding of the issues people may face.
• Experience in supporting those with challenging behaviour.
• Relevant certifications and mandatory training completed within the last 12 months including Basic Life Support, Manual Handling, First Aid, Oliver McGowan and Prevent.
• Medication trained
• Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
• Enhanced Adults and Children's DBS on the update service
• You MUST be based in the UK and have a minimum of 6 months experience within a Mental Health/Learning Disabilities Setting.
• Hold a full UK Driving Licence
ABOUT THE ROLE
• Take part in helping people draw up their Person Centred Plan and follow the agreed plan.
• Support to develop and maintain relationships, as identified in the individuals Person Centred Support Plan.
• Support and enable people to make informed choices about all aspects of their lives,
• Promote self-advocacy, informal and formal, or people of their choice.
• To enable people we support lead full and purposeful lives in the community and to develop a range of friendships, activities and relationships.
• Support service users to participate in chosen social activities and services in their community, manage their finances and medication responsibly, help with practical tasks around the home, and respectfully support with personal care, hygiene and healthcare
• You will be an informal point of contact for those in the service users circle of support (e.g. Families and Social Workers)
• Accurately report and record any issues related to the care and support of our Service Users to monitor their health and wellbeing
